Performance Review

Moving into the last two weeks of 2008, it is time for us to take stock of our achievements for the year, as well as the areas we’ve done well and the areas that need improvement.

1. Look for New Job & Get better Salary to FeeD my Lovely

I was able to get a better offer in April 2008, this is a good start for me and it may lead me towards high level banking environment. Current year due to financial turmoil, we can see pay cut, retrenchment and liquidation everywhere, I can still considered lucky. I still need improvement for myself to achieve higher remuneration, as now still unable to feed my Lovely if she stops working.

2. Train a better body I ever had

Throughout the year, whoever knows I was busying with my wedding in Nov 08. I was trying hard to enter gym twice a week, I did that, hence can avoid myself transform into fatty man. This will be the focus for year 2009.

3. Get Singapore PR

After a long run, good and bad experiences from HR, finally I got it in July 08. This was bringing me and my brother to have the opportunity to buy house. After a few house viewing, we got 1 and hopefully to move in by March 09.

4. Get Married & Honeymoon

According to my plan, these were successfully done! This is part of my plan in 2008, because get married is easy thing, everybody can do it by signing a marriage cert, but those expenses throughout the wedding is not a funny thing, make sure planning is in order. Honeymoon was wonderful; you can see it from my previous blog. Thanks for attending my wedding and sharing our joy.

Targets for 2009

While the progress in my career and family plans is encouraging, I need to focus on the few areas to meet 2009 commitments - 3W Managements.

1. Wealth Management

During my wedding, my savings is gone and everything starts from 1, which is 1 family, single life was thrown away. Budget management for family is the main focus. I have made a strategic for 2009, to minimize spending and maximize savings.

Secondly, build a debt free environment by clearing all installments by this year and enjoy freedom in Cash.

2. Weight management

In Feb 09, I have burnt up 4/7 of California Fitness membership as I have signed for 42 months. In 2009, target is creating a better health, growth extra muscle and maintains my body weight below 75kg. I believed this may succeed when moved in new house and diet control by cooking by myself.

3. Knowledge Management

Since year 2000, I am thinking to study German language to help myself in future career. As Discipline & consistency always the barrier for our life, at last I didn't enroll, but time can change a person too. I was changing since last year when I taking up the Diploma course, I understood that if I can’t get it, my life movement will stay behind others.

So, this year I wish to study it and hope I can start it before Nov 09. I have decided which language school to go, everything is in placed, but all I need is money. Haha!

Singapore Marathon 2008

Today I joined Singapore Marathon, this is 1st time since 24 years.. We have 4 categories in this Marathon, Full Marathon (42.1km), Half Marathon (21.2km), Normal Marathon (10km) and Kids Marathon (750m).

I have joined half marathon and run started at 6:30pm. I woke up at 4:45am and get out from house at 5:15am, I thought of taking MRT, but it only starts service at 6am, so the only way is take cab.

I reached the Marathon venue at 5:30am and 6:15am ready at starting point..I used 3 hours 15 minutes to finish the race, after the race, my leg can't walk properly and rest at home the whole afternoon.

Honeymoon - Sparkling Korea Day 2

Finally, after 6 hours flight, we touched down at Korea’s Incheon International Airport at 7am. Although we are very tired, still very excited to look around and feel the air of Korea! Haha..

1st time we did is meet up with our Tour Guide and found those people were sitting around us in airplane are actually our group members! Then as we known, breakfast is not provided, we ordered Hot Chocolate and having bread (brought from S’pore) at Coffee Beans. Yeah! Of course, this is 1st Korean Won I used..

Sun rising, weather outside was about -5° and we thought that’s okay, not really cold, it might just cooling only. But, the tour guide keep remind us to put on winter clothes and wear extra. I tried to run out to test the weather, it was damm cold, not long I ran back into lobby and put on my winter clothes..

After breakfast and photo taking, we re-group again and started our journey! Things not always go well, our itinerary has some adjustment, and we have to go Coffee Prince coffee shop and Dong Dae Mun Market 1st. Our excitement temperature went down when heard of that. Coffee Prince will not open as early as 9am and neither Dong Dae Mun Market. As predicted, we can only take some photo in front of the Coffee Shop.

We reached Dong Dae Mun Market at 10am, by the time, only some of the shops opening. No choice, we walked around and bought a winter cap & some earrings for Lovely. Also, we tried the local typical food, sausage wrapped with fun fried, it was nice as compared with S’pore Dong Dae Mun. Haha.. After discovered the Market, we went to Doota shopping center which just opposite the Market. We found something that I can’t find in S’pore… Couple Tee!!! What we bought are not Tee but Jacket, we will see it in Day 8.

Lovely bought her winter cap here, CHEAP!Sausage wrapped with fried topped with Tomato Sauce, Hot!Inside Doota, nothing much to buy, shopping mood not coming yet..

Okay..After a lousy shopping, we continue with Lunch, don't be surprised, their food is nice and suitable for Chinese. Their Kimchi is nice too not like those you eat in S’pore or KL’s Korean restaurant.

Can see a lot of side dish! Oh! That's kimchi....!Next, we went to Gimpo Airport and ready to fly to Honeymoon Island – Jeju! It took about 1 and half hour flight to Jeju, then we up to another bus. 1st thing we can feel it, the weather is nice and out of pollution, feel comfort there. But precise, no factory is built in the island, water is safe to drink as well without boiling it.

We buy milk again..if you go there, must try!

See! It's free, they are promoting themselves, but don't know what..Don't know how to read Korean.

Before we ended the day, we have been to Teddy Bear Museum which full of Bears in different themes. We have a chance to see the most expensive Teddy Bear which wearing LV made clothes. Our time is just nice, it closed after our visit, and then we proceed to Dinner and check-in T.H.E hotel, is one of the Casino hotel in Jeju. Hotel is nice and we relax there and losing 60,000 Won in the Casino. Haha.. Just Married, but no luck in gamble.

Korea is really big country, every journey, from place to place, will take us 1 or 2 hours drive. We spending lots of time in Bus and dreaming.

Honeymoon - Sparkling Korea Day 1

8 Days 6 Nights tour, the 1st day actually eaten by the tour, just sitting in airplane and the only entertaiment is Movie or Sleep..

But our excited mood never decrease, keep imagine how's Korea, what to do there, what to buy, is Skin Food cheap..??? Haha..Really excited!
We took Asiana Airlines, it considered a nice airlines, service is good and the best part is Yum! Yum! 1st time I tried Bi-Bim-Bab..Haha.. Since nothing much can do in airplane, eat became more enjoyable!
After which, we just watch movie, play game, sleep, pee pee and brush teeth..then we arrived......

Honeymoon...la la la..

After the busy Wedding, from preparation to actual day, almost all energy and brain exhausted..Now is the time to relax!

Honeymoon lo..We are waiting at Changi Airport now and taking Asiana Air to Korea for 8 Days 6 Nights tour! Haha..

This is not only the excited thing, more important is I only back to work on 1 Dec.. What a long holiday..Haha..

I still very very very Thanks all my friends who attending our Wedding and sharing our joy and happiness..Thanks Thanks Thanks! Especially my Bestmen.. You know, "YOU ARE THE BEST!!!"

See you when I back to KL in 5 Dec..Miss you guys, even we didn't drink in my Wedding, but we had a wonderful Bachelor's night..Opps..afraid Mrs. Lai is reading my blog now..Can't talk further..!

When back from Korea, I think need to start my work and review my next year aim and goal! This year achievement should be quite good!

14/11, today's programs as follows:

1. Shift house - Shift all my stuffs from Apartment to new house
2. Car wash - Bring my Bridal car to take bath
3. Last minutes shopping - Bring 5 Ladies (Grandmom, Mom, Sis and 2 Nieces) to shop at Midvalley
4. Bridal Car Deco - Send it to make-up and wear nicely
5. Condo check-in - Bring my Singapore friend to check in Condo
6. Room decoration - Decorate new room and ready for my Lovely
7. Thing to be brought to Hotel - Packing all the stuffs which needed for wedding & get ready to send to Hotel the next morning @ 7:30am
8. Home celebration - Helping mom to serve relatives
9. Bachelor's Night - Decanter Too, enjoy and get drunk with Bestmen
10. Sleep - Zzz...

Now believe human can do many many things in a day, time doesn't wait for you but you can run with it! Haha..But, not again...!

Journey to the Wedding!!!

13/11 - We went back to KL is 2 days before our Wedding! Wow..Wow..Wow..Excited! Haha..! We took flight @ 11:30 and arrived @ 12:30, thanks to Brandon's good brotherhood, fetch me all the way from Airport to my house, be my Bestmen and give me the Best support during dinner!

We have plenty of things need to settle on this day..Because we can't meet each other on the day before actual day. Sad :( We went to do gown fitting @ Neo Wedding and luckily the gown matched exactly my Lovely, this is tailor made gown and will be be with us forever!
