Geneva to New York

Woke up this morning at 5am then quickly take shower and pack my stuff and leave hotel at 05:30, quite a rush one.. When I arrived airport, the bad thing is the flight was delayed about 4 and half hours! Lucky the airline also quite nice and compensate us US$500 for us to buy air ticket and also provide us lounge for rest and online..

Geneva Day 9 -- Last Day!

Today is the happiest day, because my trip to New York wasn't delay and I can go according to my plan and wor hard there.. And Baby is joining me soon n NY! Yeah Yeah Yeah...Haha..

I don't know how to describe my feeling here, I think happy to go NY for work, travel and anything. But at the same time I also feeling sad because I gonna say goodbye to my fellow friends here in Geneva, don't know when I will come back to Geneva again and to have lunch with them, dinner with them! Haha.. Alright, I should say goodbye to all of them and wish them all the best!

Today is time to disclose my hotel room, here it is... Swissotel Metropole, quite nice the hotel, service not bad, glad that I can travel and stay in such a nice hotel..I will stay Apartment in NY :(


Ok.. I can't talk much already, need to pack my stuff and ready to go airport at 0530 and take 0900 flight to NY Neward Airport! Again, goodbye to Geneva and Hello to New York!!!!

No gift again, I spent all my cash.. Haha.. But I will something from Geneva Airport which to surprise her! Ho ho ho...

Geneva Day 8

Sunday is the most boring day in Geneva, almost like a dead city, all shops closed and only limited restaurant is operating. This morning we searching around for breakfast, went in few restaurants and not suitable.. Finally we walked to train station and there is a bakery shop and serving drink as well.

After breakfast, we straight to the bus station as we planned to go Annecy, a small village in France and just near Geneva border. Unfortunately, we got the 12:30 ticket and time I bought was 10:45 where the previous bus just departed on 10:30.. No choice, so we just buy the ticket and wait.. While waiting, some of us back to Hotel, but me and another friend then walked around the Lake and took some pictures.

Finally, we boarded the bus on 12:30, then we arrived Annecy around 14:00, consider quite late, but still managed to discover mostly everything! When we arrived, we really lost and didn't see the beach or lake or river! We keep following people and walked till very very deep inside then we found a village there, actually it is quite a big one!

We were discovering around, then suddenly saw people eating crepe and look nice, then we stop and order our crepe too! After which, we go around the lake side just to see see look look.. Actually the place quite interesting, but if you not playing those activities like take cruise for sight seeing, rafting or parachute..

The funny thing is we also follow those people there and sat on the green grass and play Big 2.. haha.. After few games, then we continue a bit on our journey then leave the town..

Today didn't manage to get baby a gift, because here is using EURO and I don't have it at all.. So the gift will replace by another things.. Haha..

Geneva Day 7

Sunny Day, early morning was awaken by the strong sun light, it was around 07:30.. No plan for me today, so just follow my colleagues went to Manor, a department store like Robinsons I guess.. We had breakfast there, I drank 1 potato soup and pasta, then drink banana milkshake..Thereafter, I went back to hotel and put down my stuff and go out again to help my friend by LV bag.. Then follow with photoshooting, went along the river there and take some photos.

Then I walk around to look for souvenir again for Lovely, this time really nothing much in my mind, at last I got her a box of chocolate, so she can eat it in New York everyday.. Haha..

After a long walk, then I felt hungry, so I went to get something, then I just simply choose a restaurant at old town, then never thought that it is Spaghetti factory! Yesterday my colleagues asked me where is this restaurant, I told them I can't remember and seem never been there..

Ok, now back to Hotel and need to do my assignment and read some documents....

Geneva Day 6

This Friday morning has little bit different, we had breakfast in the Hotel, because the project manager asked us to try it! Actually not bad, but I still prefer outside, because it was too expensive CHF 41 per pax, then those food are same like outside what we eat!

Today has lots of back to back meeting, so we didn't take our lunch, but lucky we are not hungry then we wait till dinner! But today I didn't dinner with others, because I meet up with my friend who I knew in Geneva when I came here 2 years before. She actually a Taiwanese, but came here to study and married to Swiss guy. She brought me to a lake side, the food there is quite cheap and for family to dine there. The scene there is perfect, got lake, got mountain, fresh air, got ducky and they don't scare of human, they will walk around your foot!

Ohh.. another thing to mention is I got chance to feel Porche! Of course, she drove, not me! I don't dare to drive that car, don't know the road, rule and things and some more here is left hand drive.

I back to Hotel after dinner, then my colleagues asked me to go for drink, then we went to meet another colleague in Geneva, we just ordered a beer for each, cost CHF4 a glass, quite cheap because their government actually subsidize it! We just finish the beer and left the place, feel sleepy, so not to stay long..

This time I bought dress for my wifey from H&M to match her legging, hope she like it! Haha.. I think Lou Po Zai sure happy receiving so many gifts.. Haha..

Geneva Day 5

This morning woke up a bit early, can't sleep well.. Then looking outside the windows, the sun is arising slowly to the sky, then suddenly make me feel like taking its photo! Took out my camera to snap a few shots, unfortunately, view from my room is limited, so just able to take few shots.

Then continue with routine morning preparation and went out for breakfast with the rest. This morning thought not to eat so much, because later lunch with Geneva colleague Christophe and ex-Singapore colleague Cindy, but cant't get away from those attractive bread, yogurt and juice!

Today I have another colleague came from Sg, then we wait her for lunch as well. They brought us to one vietnamese restaurant which nearby the office, quite nice environment! About the food, I don't really like vietnamese food because their spices and smelly vege make me vomit. I ordered Caramel Pork with Rice, I can't even finish it, it was too salty and smelly!!!

After our meetings, then we faster ran back to Hotel and put down our stuff and go Shopping!! Before shopping, we went for dinner first, a Thai cuisine restaurant, quite a special one where it didn't have Tom Yam Soup, then every dishes also costly, I had Green Curry Chicken Fried Rice, thought is green curry chicken with fried rice, but the Swiss world is different of thought, they really use the green curry fried with rice then put the chicken on top. I got a picture, but it is in my handphone, can't transfer out...

This time bought something special for Lovely.. Hehe.. She will know it untill she get it!

Geneva Day 4

Another day passes, today breakfast is a bit different, we had it in another cafe, I had panini for breakfast! It has been long time searching this type of panini, I miss it after my 1st trip in Geneva, now I have chance to eat it again, the taste you can't find anywhere in Singapore.

Today quite busy, running both office again for meeting, but something good is I met the lady also from Malaysia, she very kind and volunteer to bring us around and introduce some nice tourist places for us to go during weekend.

Today I had late lunch, because some meetings were too close and not in time to enjoy lunch, so we decided to go lunch at 3pm. Today we had chinese cuisine again in a departmental store called Globus.. 3 dishes (Sweet and Sour Chicken, Curry Beef with potatoes, Curry Seabass), 3 white rice, 2 fried rice and 3 lychee drink, you guess how much it cost ----- CHF 105!!! Terrible!

Dinner is something famous in Geneva -- steak with fries, not very nice but still ok, still can't compete with the one nearby my hotel there.. After dinner, we reached hotel around 11:20pm, then do the same again, bath, shave, write blog, upload photo, read documents and etc.

When I back to hotel, I realised that the laundry I sent, they charged me espress service with additional 50%. Then I went complain and finally they waive it as it is not my fault!

6 days to go.. then I can meet Lovely baby lo.. I think she can't wait to go there also, keep singing empire state of America by Alicia Key ft. Jay-Z.. Haha.. Another souvenir! Haha..
